Tania is a Developer advocate at Microsoft. She holds a PhD from the University of Manchester (UK). She is passionate about scientific computing, research software engineering, innovations in data science and data engineering and the applications of machine learning solutions to real world problems.
Before joining Microsoft she worked as a Research software engineer in working in projects from digital social sciencies and linguistics to physical sciencies and engineering. She has also worked in data-driven projects at the intersection of data science and research engineering. Tania is particularly interested in machine learning reproducibility, open source, and data validation.
She is a contibutor and maintainer of a number of open source projects as well as member and trustee of a number of committees. In her free time she enjoys weightlifting, reading and attending craft beer festivals.
