Over the past year, we have been deeply focused on enhancing Visual Studio’s productivity and performance for game developers. Our efforts are possible thanks to all your feedback on social media, Developer Community, and surveys. We heard loud and clear about big opportunities to improve productivity working on Unreal Engine projects. Today, we are delighted to share that in Visual Studio 2022 17.5, viewing Unreal Engine Blueprint references and adding UE classes are available without leaving Visual Studio. In addition, you can now copy and expand macros and try out a reimagined member list. We hope these features will enhance your productivity while reducing the need for context switching.

"This was a great collaboration to be involved in. Rare’s game team shared their deep knowledge and experience writing and shipping features in the Unreal Engine, and in return we benefit from a set of new tools which help us better understand context, avoid common mistakes, and get to the fun stuff more quickly. Everybody wins!" -Sean Davies, Technical Director, Rare UK
